About Us, History of Taskmaster Technologies Inc …
An Alberta employee owned and operated company, Taskmaster Technologies Inc. was founded in 2006 by a diverse team of experienced tradesmen, focused on providing customers innovative product solutions and unparalleled service. The mainstays of our business are Manufacturing and Advanced Hardsurfacing technology, supplying services primarily to the Mining, Oil and Gas, Agricultural, and Pulp / Paper industries. We have a broad range of experience in the industry, and as time goes on, we continue to expand our capacity as well as our areas of diversity.
We have the ability to manufacture to customer specifications or supply hard surface coatings to their products as a value added service to improve their product performance. As hard surface coatings are our specialty, we can make recommendations on process, procedure, or applications. We take great pride in our companies performance and ability to adapt to changing industry demands consistently providing top quality products exceeding customer requirements. We stay abreast of industry trends and technological developments in the wear technology field.
In November of 2008 we expanded our operations moving our Welding and Overlay Department into its own dedicated facility. This had served to streamline production at both the this new facility and our main plant where we still machined, ground, and applied our Thermal Spray Coatings. With the increased capacity, we were ready to take on new challenges in different markets!
In 2011, we have moved our operations to a new site (still in Leduc Alberta) where we will once again have all operation’s at one location! We are moving forward into the next phase of development for Taskmaster – exciting to see some of our original goals being realized!
In the spring of 2013, we expanded again, gaining an additional bay adjacent to our Thermal Spray and grinding divisions. This bay will be home for our new ‘Finishing’ department. Here we will do all of the product final stages such as ‘Superfinishing’, ‘Phosphate coating’, ‘Shot Peen’. When actual production is finished, our Quality Assurance department is there to take over to verify completion to specification.
In 2014, we expanded once again! This additional bay of 2500 Sq ft will be home to our newly purchased CNC machining equipment. We continue to grow and upgrade into 2017! With this, Taskmaster will have even more ability to be your Turnkey component manufacturer where machining, grinding, hard surfacing, honing, superfinishing, lapping, and shot peen services are required. Our facility is now totals over 17000 Sq ft. of shop space. WOW! Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to doing business with you.

Approved Materials and Conflict Minerals
Along with our mandate regarding environmental practices, Taskmaster has a high level of concern regarding the exploitation and trade of conflict materials. Back in 2014, we were the first company in our market to mandate as part of our supplier approval process is to ensure that materials we use in our coatings processes do not contain materials sourced from conflict regions. Taskmaster is committed to maintain a socially and environmentally responsible supply chain. Through our demands, our suppliers have responded, and we are proud that many of our them as well as a few of our competitors have followed our lead and adopted a similar policy. There are a few others who scoff at our position however, and in todays tight economic crunch we want our customers to know that our values will not waiver.
There is a new documentary ‘When elephants fight’ that showcases exactly why we have adopted such a position. The following link is an interview with the makers of the film and we recommend you to watch it if you are uninformed on the issue:
We’re asking actress and director Robin Wright all about her new movie “When Elephants Fight,” a documentary that focuses on abuses in the Congo. Ask Robin about her new project — or anything else! — in the comments. #StandWithCongo #FBLive
